Whale Watching Tour
With two different whales season, Uvita receive the beautiful humpback whales from july to october (from Chile) and from january to march (from Alaska).
Whale watching tours depart daily at 8:30 a.m. and last approximately three hours. The tour includes entrance to Marino Ballena National Park (valid all day), a bilingual guide in English and Spanish, water, fresh fruit, and snacks, life jackets, snorkeling equipment (if the conditions allow us) and insurance, offering a complete and unforgettable ocean experience.

The Corcovado tour departs from Uvita, with a meeting point at 6:30 a.m. and boat departure at 7:00 a.m., arriving at San Pedrillo Ranger Station approximately 1.5 hours later. Upon arrival, guests have access to bathrooms and showers, followed by a safety briefing and itinerary explanation by the guide, and then enjoy a guided hike of about three hours through the park, with a lunch break included.
The return boat departs Corcovado at 2:30 p.m. approximately , arriving back in Uvita around 3:30–4:00 p.m., with the possibility of spotting whales, dolphins, turtles, and seabirds during the boat ride.
The tour includes the Corcovado National Park entrance fee, a bilingual guide (Spanish–English), safety gear, first aid kit, lunch, water and fruit, and insurance.

The tour begins with a meeting point at 6:30 a.m. at our office, located 350 meters before the main entrance to Marino Ballena National Park, followed by departure at 7:00 a.m. from Punta Uvita inside the park. The boat ride to Caño Island takes approximately 1.5 hours, with around 2 snorkelign sessions of 45 mins aprox, before the return departure at 1:00 p.m. and an estimated arrival back in Uvita at 2:30 p.m.. During the boat journey, guests may spot whales (in season), dolphins, turtles, seabirds, and enjoy spectacular views of Costa Rica’s southern Pacific coast.

Diving at Caño Island offers one of the best underwater experiences in Costa Rica, known for its clear waters, coral reefs, and abundant marine life. During the dives, you may see reef sharks, manta rays, stingrays, sea turtles, schools of tropical fish, moray eels, and occasionally dolphins or whales (in season), making Caño Island a must-visit destination for both beginner and experienced divers.

Our horses are carefully trained for you to have a pleasant experience, as you go through the refuge,the forest, on the beach or in the river. You may visit Playa Hermosa, adjacent to Ballena Marine National Park, ride on the woods or toward the waterfall and take a dip, or enjoy an astonishing sunset.
